The privately owned Pilot Chemical Company was established in 1952 and currently has five manufacturing sites within the US.
The Pilot Chemical Company provides leading technology in;
Ice-cold sulphonation
A proprietary process technology using a low temperature reaction to give high purity sulphonates.
Sulphation
State-of-the-art, continuous unit technology produces products with extremely low impurities which are above U.S and European standards and high in actives.
Alkylation
High volume continuous system for flexible production, including small product runs, allows for an extensive range of alkylation products.
Pilot’s lubricant additives include a range of anionic and nonionic products for oil and water applications, featuring:
Aristonate oil soluble sulphonates which are used as emulsifiers in soluble oils and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. These sulphonates are more consistent than the natural petroleum sulphonates.
Pilot D-300, 4-sulfophthalic acid used in the Duranodic process of hard aluminium anodising.
