Chlorinated Paraffin Staining Inhibitor
The primary function of NiMAC CL4 is to reduce chlorine staining in metalworking formulations.
NiMAC CL4 is an effective additive in increasing the thermal stability in chloroparaffins, reducing the potential for acidic by-products and subsequent corrosion problems. At a typical treat rate of 2-3% of NiMAC CL4, based on the percentage weight of chlorinated paraffin content, we can reduce the formation of acids in metalworking fluids by 98%.
The NiMAC CL4 key performance characteristics are:
- • Highly effective at reducing chlorine staining
- • None hazardous
- • Amine and sulphonate free
- • Low odour
- • Light coloured
Antifoam selection should take into account a number of metalworking fluid formulation characteristics notably the water and oil content.
